工作场所急救员 - 普通大众 (8小时)

Ohio's private sector follows the federal OSHA rule (29 CFR 1910.151(b)): no fixed ratio, but employers must keep enough adequately trained first-aiders on staff to render aid, reachable within 3-4 minutes in high-hazard settings and up to 15 minutes in low-hazard ones. Public employees are covered by Ohio's PERRP under the Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
Ohio childcare licensing (OAC 5101:2-12-10) requires all child care staff to hold current age-appropriate first aid and CPR certification within 90 days of hire, plus communicable disease recognition, renewed every two years. Until all required staff are current, at least one trained member must be on-site in each building.
Ohio's Good Samaritan law (ORC § 2305.23) shields anyone giving emergency care outside a medical facility from civil liability unless their acts are willful or wanton misconduct, and there is no legal duty to rescue. AED use is separately protected under ORC § 2305.235.
The Ohio Board of Nursing requires registered nurses to complete 24 contact hours of continuing education per two-year cycle, including at least 1 hour of Category A on Ohio nursing law and rules. Provider-accredited resuscitation courses such as CPR/AED, ACLS and PALS are among the eligible activities.
In Ohio, home-care-attendant providers must hold CPR certification from a class that is not solely internet-based, with hands-on training and a return demonstration. The State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) credential also satisfies home-health-aide training requirements.
Under the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC 5101:2-5-33 and 5101:2-5-40), foster caregivers must continuously maintain first-aid certification and child and adult CPR certification, with pre-adoptive infant foster homes also completing infant first aid and CPR. It is recognized by the Ohio Department of Children and Youth and the recommending agencies.
Online CPR and first aid training is recognized in Ohio, with certification valid for two years and accepted for the workplace requirement since no explicit ban exists. OSHA nonetheless recommends a hands-on skills-demonstration component, especially for CPR.
